I was first introduced to Tyler Barham and his music through a friend on Twitter. So one day I decided to check out some of his covers he had posted on his youtube channel as well as his original music on iTunes and from the first listen I instantly became a fan of his style & voice. He has one of the more traditional country voices which I think country radio needs more of.
A few days ago he released his latest single to radio titled More Than A Cotton Dress in an effort to swim against the tide of the current bro country trend which I consider a much needed and welcome change. The lighthearted, fiddle driven, summer song takes the current crop of cliche lines and cleverly turns them into something fresh and new. Barham even manages to make the obligatory reference to an iconic country music legend in the second verse.
